Bozeman’s Best Brewery Tour Is the Perfect Way to Cool Off This Summer

alt

There is nothing quite like the summer in Montana. With beautiful national and state parks to explore, hundreds of campgrounds, breathtaking hiking trails, and world-class fishing destinations, I often feel like I need a much longer summer to enjoy it all. Unfortunately, sometimes the weather doesn’t want to cooperate, or I’m not in the mood for time outdoors. That’s why the Bozeman Brewery Hop is the perfect addition to any summer bucket list. On this adventure, you’ll visit two breweries in Bozeman, where you’ll sample various beers and barley malts, learn about new drink trends, and have an expert there to answer all of your questions. It may just become your new favorite way to spend a summer day in Montana.

Bozeman, Montana, is home to many bucket-list-worthy breweries, and this 90-minute tour, available on Viator, will take you to two of the best. Your guide will be a certified Master Cicerone, an expert in brewing, beer, and drink pairing. To become a Master Cicerone, you must receive the highest level of certification. Fun fact: there are currently only 28 Master Cicerones in the world.

On this tour, you will meet the Master Cicerone (who is also your guide) and your group outside of Bozeman Brewing Company, where you’ll enjoy your first flight of 4-ounce beers. During your time here, you’ll learn tasting tips, tricks to choosing the right beer off a menu, and more. You can expect to spend approximately 40 minutes at this brewery.

You will then walk approximately one block to Mountains Walking Brewery. Here, your guide will walk you around the brewery and teach you more about the brewing process. You’ll get up close to the brewing tanks and beer ingredients, and will sample barley malts and hops. After this portion of the tour, you’ll head into the taproom where you’ll enjoy another flight of 4-ounce beers. These can be beers of your choosing, or let the Master Cicerone customize the flight for you. Plus, you’ll get to try a hot appetizer from Mountains Walking Brewery as the perfect final touch.

At each stop, you’ll have ample opportunities to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the brewing process. In total, you will drink approximately 32 ounces of beer. No additional beer, wine, or seltzer is allowed, and most tour groups are approximately 12 individuals.

Is there any better way to beat the heat than with a cold beer, air conditioning, good company, and a Master Cicerone by your side? We don’t think so. Visit Viator to book your tour. I also recommend you purchase your ticket in advance as tour group sizes are limited.
